A large events business located in Central London is looking for a Finance Assistant to cover an employee on extended leave (for a period of 2-4 weeks).

You will be assisting with:

  • Raising sales invoices for ticketing income and other revenue
  • Detailed analysis of all ticket monies received from ticket agents and ensuring the invoice allocates correctly to each respective show
  • Raising sales invoices for rebate income receivable from agents
  • Dealing with invoice queries and resolving issues
  • Bank runs to pay in cheques and cash for the associated companies
  • Credit control including chasing outstanding invoices and sending out statements
  • Accounts payable duties including coding and processing of signed off purchase invoices and staff expenses
  • Setting up manual payments and weekly automated payment runs
  • Posting payments on a timely basis, ensuring that all payments are allocated against the correct purchase ledger invoices and to the correct General Ledger bank account
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Working to a month end procedure to close AR and AP, including petty cash reconciliations and calculation of the bad debt provision
  • Other ad hoc tasks may also be required.

This is a short term temporary role, to assist predominantly with accounts payable and accounts receivable duties. As such, you must be familiar with these processes, as no training will be provided.
