A rapidly growing Bank are urgently looking for a maternity cover contractor to join the finance function as a business partner. You will be partnering the unsecured lending part of the business and will be covering both loans and credit cards. You will be expected to provide financial insight into this particular division working closely with various department heads.

This is a genuine business partnering role where you will not just be expected to produce numbers but also detailed reports including reports for the EXCO. Some of the responsibilities you will be expected to undertake will include but not limited to the below

• Managing revenue, impairment and cost budgeting and planning. This includes production of guidance notes and templates for the business owners to submit budgets, development of assumptions and presenting results to Exco
• Board MI Pack - Creation and co-ordination of the production of the Management Information pack
• Optimise cost base including review of current operating and revenue models.
• Responsible for the creation of budget/business plan document
• Cost management - Cost reviews with Executive members of the Loans Business (monthly). Identifying risks, opportunities and cost management solutions. Preparation of cost commentary for the department and bank wide monthly MI pack.

You will need to be a qualified accountant with prior experience of unsecured lending in either credit cards or consumer loans. Because of the need to hit the ground running it is essential that you have this specific product knowledge, you will also need to have either assisted or managed a budgeting process as well.
