Marks Sattin are working in partnership with an exciting, growing business in the Burton-on-Trent area to recruit a Finance Manager on a full-time, permanent basis. The position will be based full time at my clients modern offices.

The Finance Manager will report to the Finance Director and will provide support and guidance to the Assistant Accountant and the Finance Assistant. The Finance Manager will take ownership of the preparation of management accounts and reporting, displaying exceptional attention to detail.

Key responsibilities of the Finance Manager include:

  • Preparation of management accounts for review and analysis
  • Preparation of financial statements for statutory reporting and audits
  • Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register
  • Maintenance of intercompany balances
  • VAT returns
  • Maintaining the financial forecast model
  • Short-term cashflow forecasting model management
  • Project accounting - producing monthly Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR), tracking of project spend
  • Supporting the transactional finance teams where required

To be considered you will be:

  • Either a Qualified Accountant or 'Qualified by Experience (QBE)
  • Within a commutable distance from the Burton-on-Trent offices
  • Experienced in a similar role
  • A strong communicated with the ability to liaise with non-finance stakeholders
  • A strong IT and ERP system user
