Marks Sattin are working in partnership with a successful SME business based in Birmingham who have an excellent development opportunity for a newly qualified Accountant to assume the position of Finance Manager.

This is a new role and the successful candidate will continue to develop and take control of the internal financial processes and thus strongly impact the company's commercial objectives and future plans. Reporting into an experienced Finance Director, you will be the No2 within finance, so with guidance and development you will take ownership for managing the whole of the company's finances and reporting for this highly successful and growing business. This includes a heavy emphasis on business partnering and developing relationships at all levels in the business providing support to achieve future business goals and plans. You will also provide finance support on large scale projects as well in-depth analysis and insight on performance and opportunities across the business and then developing these into actions.

Requirements:

• Ideally you will be recently qualified or at the later stages of completing your accountancy qualification with 'hands on' management accounts experience.
• Possess extremely strong IT abilities - including the ability to use a finance related software (SAGE etc.), and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong personality in order to be able to challenge other managers and directors of the company and group, and work effectively as part of a small finance function.
