An internationally renowned, reputable insurance firm is looking for an experienced qualified accountant to join their team as Finance Manager. This exciting opportunity will allow you to take on an important role within the finance team where your expertise will be utilised and help strengthen the expense management team, making this a brilliant opportunity to develop within a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Managing two financial analysts in the production of monthly expense reports.
- Facilitating and improving the annual expense budget process.
- Liaising with budget-holders and developing five year plans; providing financial analysis as required.
- Managing quarterly expense forecasting.
- Managing the cost allocation systems and processes
- Reconciling expenses in underwriting entities, working with syndicate and company accountant to ensure allocations of expenses are correctly flowing through to U/W entities
- Developing improvements to reporting of expenses and processing of expenses with particular emphasis and participation in the project to implement a new general ledger
- Produce quarterly expense reconciliation to both financial (corporation) and management result, including interrogation of differences and resolving with other departments as required
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) or equivalent with relevant experience
- Experience in expense management and control
- Successful experience of managing people
- Competent knowledge of MS Excel
