This Private Bank is looking for a Newly/recently qualified accountant to join their business as a Financial Accountant who will report directly to the Financial Controller. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of financial control activities to ensure the accuracy of the TB, preparation of statutory and regulatory financial reporting, and to provide ongoing analysis and support to the Financial Controller.

The main stakeholders for the Financial Accountant will be the Finance Controller, Finance Director and Head of Financial Planning & Analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Balance sheet and income statement analysis and monitoring
• TB control
• Risk monitoring analysis and preparation
• Proposing and implementing enhancements to the control framework across the Bank
• Preparation, interpretation and analysis of financial regulatory returns
• Accounting standards interpretation and application
• Statutory accounts preparation and analysis
• Audit support

Knowledge/Experience

• Professional accounting qualification with statutory experience (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Technical accounting knowledge (IFRS)
• Consolidation experience
• Financial Services experience desirable
• Audit background desirable
• Regulatory reporting experience desirable
• Strong IT skills (Excel)
• Proven strong financial control experience
