Start your job searchA leading Fintech is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their Finance Team. This will be a year long contract due to a key member of the team going on maternity leave.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a recently qualified accountant to develop a career in a fast growing revolutionised industry.
Your role will be a broad remit where you will be involved in taking core responsibility for the financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, processes and controls as well as meeting all financial commitments. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be the go-to individual for any finance related queries.
Specifically, you will be involved with:
- Building out accounting / reporting processes and controls for the bank.
- Completion of monthly management reporting and variance analysis.
- Proposing improvements to processes and controls, as appropriate.
- Management of costs against budget including partnering with stakeholders to understand variances
- Month end and other periodic accounting and reporting.
- Month end close activities including accruals, journal postings and review of results.
- Provide support to the business and ad hoc reporting and project work.
- Ad hoc responsibilities as and when required
The successful candidate will be a recently qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) who has experience in either auditing FS clients or qualified via industry (banking specific). This is an ideal path for any strong motivated individual looking to make a transition into innovative and lucrative sector.
