This role sits within the Group external reporting team reporting to the Head of External Reporting. The Group reporting team is responsible for all aspects of external reporting for the Group, such as financial statements and capital adequacy, and also for Group consolidation journals and compensation accounting.

This candidate needs to have good technical skills, excellent attention to detail and be able to get up to speed quickly. At the start of the contract this role is going to be focusing on the share-based payment charges and other staff costs, developing spreadsheets and models around that so it is really important that this candidate has strong excel and analytical skills.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Preparation of the financial statements
  • Assistance with preparation and maintenance of spreadsheets to calculate and predict the Group's share-based payment charges and other staff costs.
  • Preparation of accounting papers and work papers to support the accounting for new transactions or new accounting standards.
  • Liaison with external auditors.
  • Project management and data collection in respect of the Group's ICAAP document.
  • Preparation of regulatory returns for various regulated entities.
  • Assistance with month end processes, including seed capital, share-based payments, cash etc.

Required experience:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
