An established UK subsidiary of a foreign Bank are looking to recruit a Financial Control Director. Reporting directly into the CFO, you will be responsible for the timely production of month end, quarter end and year end financial statements and annual statutory accounts under IFRS 9. Additional responsibilities will include ownership of Tax (VAT, CT etc), MI and enhancing controls.

Reporting into the CFO, you may be asked to attend committee meetings in her absence and you will be regularly leaned on to provide insight into the finances of the Bank.

You will inherit a team of 3 ( 2 x Qualified and 1 x AP), and work alongside the Head of Regulatory Reporting and Head of FP&A.

This position will give you plenty of scope to progress your career into a CFO, as well as giving you the opportunity to drive positive change into the department by way of systems and process improvements.

Requirements

- ACA/CA qualified with Audit experience (essential)

- Extensive Banking background with experience dealing with derivatives and treasury (essential)

- Strong knowledge and application of IFRS9 (essential)

- Character traits including being ambitious, a natural leader and inquisitive mind.
