Start your job searchA fast growing FinTech business are looking for an experienced accountant to join their small but fast growing finance team; as the Financial Controller. The role reports to the CFO and you will be in charge of running the day to day accounting and work on building out the finance team as well as assisting the CFO and head of FP&A on different projects - The role will be a key hire in the growth of the business who are looking to grow quickly.
Your responsibilities would include:
- Production of the monthly Board packs and monthly management accounts
- Leading the external audits and preparation of Group Statutory Accounts, compliant with UK GAAP
- Continued development of the finance team and systems to enable a scale-able Finance function.
- Strong technical knowledge, with an emphasis on planning and control.
- Work closely with senior internal stakeholders incl as the founders and CFO to assist with the production of annual budget and business performance
- Manage the Monthly, Accounts Payable & Receivables and VAT returns
Then successful candidate will be/have:
- A qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent)
- Relevant Experience within a similar role (within a start up/FinTech business is a benefit)
- Good technical accounting knowledge
