Marks Sattin is working in partnership with an SME organisation based in West Bristol to recruit a Financial Controller. This is initially a 12-month FTC covering maternity but likely to made perm. This is a great, small and friendly team behind this office, offering support and guidance wherever is needed.

The role would be a Financial Controller, providing operational support to the team, reporting and controls. Overseeing all areas of the finance department. This is also supporting the Managing Director and will need to identify and maximise all opportunities within the business, whilst working in a fast-paced organisation so an attention to detail is critical.

This role will be between 50-55k DOE

Financial Controller Key Responsibilities Include:

• Managing all aspects of the sales invoicing, purchase ledger, stock management and account reconciliation
• Full month end process including bank reconciliation, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, journal entries and adjustments.
• Full ownership over the management accountants & PnL, this will include the need to provide commentary on these.
• Knowledge of VAT, CIS & Payroll Taxes
• Reconciliation of all ledgers

The ideal candidate will be:

• Sage experience
• Management experience
• Working under high pressure environments and to be able to work to strict deadlines.
• HIGH attention of detail
• Experience in managing a transactional finance team.
