A fast-growing tech, consumer start-up business based in the heart of London is currently seeking a Financial Controller to join their fast-pace team. Taking ownership of the UK finance function, you will be responsible for:

• Oversight of management accounts preparation and management reporting
• Preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Developing financial control solution to manage risk
• Partner with budget holders to review management accounts against budget with forecast comparatives
• Build relationships with various stakeholders at different levels
• Oversee the work of the Accountant, responsible for transactional finance including accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control and tax
• Financial planning - assist with the preparation of the detailed annual plan, consolidated against our longer business plan
• You'll fully utilise our accounting software to produce accurate and timely bespoke finance analysis to support the Directors in the making of key decisions
• Audit - You'll work with external teams to manage the audit process
• Motivate and manage your small, dynamic accounting team
• Additional ad-hoc duties and establishing ways to improve systems, controls and processes to increase efficiency

Ideally, you will have a can do attitude and a hands-on approach and a desire to add value to a fast-growing business. Candidates should have a strong academic background including an accounting qualified such as (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a minimum of 3 years PQE, preferably within an SME environment. You will be highly organised with a good eye for detail and a high degree of efficiency. Advanced Excel skills is necessary and previous use of Xero would be beneficial. Experience working fast-pace environment with working knowledge of management accounts, VAT, budgets and forecasts, consolidations and implementing and improving processes is highly desirable.
