My client is a group of SME businesses who require a Financial Controller to oversee two of their construction businesses as they prepare to organically grow.

This role requires both a hands on technical professional who has previously worked within either construction or civil engineering.

Reporting into the Managing Director and CFO, this role will be instrumental in supporting the businesses growth and success. This will include to managing financial and management reporting processes; managing transactional finance, cashflow, statutory requirements and management accounting.

You work closely with the Board, Banks & Investors to monitor and manage the business plan, keeping a constant and disciplined grip on key financial levers, ensuring they are being fully optimised, and implementing a robust KPI framework to effectively measure key milestones in the business plan, with a focus on EBITDA and cash.

The nature of the job demands that the job holder has a combination of strong financial skills, excellent business awareness/acumen and the drive to deliver results. Ideally you will be a Qualified Accountant with experience of having already operated at this level within either a construction or civil engineering environment.
