Marks Sattin are excited to be partnering with a dynamic Real Estate development company based in Central London. They are actively sourcing a Financial Controller to collaborate and oversee the investment management team and report directly into the CFO on budgets, reporting and forecasting.

This role is primarily to maintain all financial systems, identifying areas that require improvement and implementing necessary changes to the financial function and improve business development. Due to the nature of the role, our client requires that successful candidates have past experience within the Real Estate or Construction industries.

Main duties will include

• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing
• Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies
• Supervise and manage financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants
• Manage AD HOC projects

Essential qualification and personal abilities needed are as follows

• Qualified accountant with 3+ years' experience (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Degree educated
• Open minded individual with the ability to adapt to any necessary task
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Team player
• Excellent knowledge of Excel
