A growing manufacturing SME based in the West of London is looking for a developed, well-rounded and creative Financial Controller to be a key part of the continuing growth of the business. The successful candidate will continue to develop this newly created role in order to take control of the internal financial process and strongly impact the companies commercial objectives.

Job Duties:

  • Taking control of the internal financial processes and continuing to develop and hone them.
  • Be a key driver in the commercial developments of the company.
  • Development and maintenance of relationships within an SME sized internal team as well as key strategic relationships with existing and potential partners.
  • Ability to challenge managers and members of the board effectively in order to positively impact the direction of the company.
  • Taking the lead on multiple tasks and ad-hoc projects.
  • Managing and continuing to develop a team of six internally, and be able to effectively work with the group's finance and management teams.
  • Frequent travel to Gloucester to liaise with the secondary site and team there.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Candidate must have a recognised professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Good post-qualified experience in a tangible product business - ideally a candidate with a construction/manufacturing background but not essential.
  • Track record of controlling internal financial processes.
  • Extremely strong IT abilities - including the ability to use a finance related software (SAP, SAGE etc.), and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • IFRS 15 experience would be ideal but not essential.
  • Strong personality in order to be able to challenge other managers and directors of the company and group, and work effectively as part of a small finance function.

Due to the location of the office in Gloucester it is advised that any candidates that apply are able to drive.
