Start your job searchWe are currently partnering with one of the UK's largest insurers in the recruitment of a Financial Reporting, Data and Control Manager.
Sitting as part of the Senior Leadership and initially managing a team of up to 4, you will be responsible for providing guidance to the wider finance team in the management of financial process and control. This is a technical role where you will be directly responsible for developing models and procedures to monitor controls in financial reporting, whilst ensuring continuous improvement across Group Finance.
Furthermore you will be expected to chair forum groups across the business to ensure that key stakeholders are well versed in methodology and regulatory changes both internal and external (eg. IFRS).
This is an extremely high profile position within the business where you will have direct and regular involvement with all heads of Department and act as the company representative to the Audit Committee in regards to areas of Financial Control and governance.
The successful candidate will be ideally be ACA qualified or have a background in Actuarial Science. You will be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of financial reporting and audit procedures, ideally from an insurance or financial services background, although knowledge of another regulated industry would be useful. To fit with the business culture, you will be an energetic individual who is able to effectively communicate at all levels to influence and ensure that the wider finance function is able to adhere to ever changing legislation with minimal impact towards day to day operations.
