They are recruiting for Fund Accountant to join their London office. The Fund Accountant will support the Senior Fund Accountant to deliver all aspects of day-to-day accounting for one or more assigned structures.

They will provide study support towards an accounting qualification (either ACCA or ACA).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ownership of bookkeeping transactions and maintenance and of accounting records for multiple client entities;
2. Prepare timely and accurate accounting output for subsequent review by the senior members of the team or client;
3. Preparing monthly/quarterly reconciliations of management accounts - promptly researching and correcting any variances;
4. Preparing interim and annual statutory accounts in line with appropriate accounting standards;
5. Liaising and responding to clients, and third parties and ensuring client and third party request or queries are dealt with appropriately;
6. Support payment processing in accordance with policy and strict deadlines;
7. Escalating identified issues or concerns appropriately and in a timely manner;
8. Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures;
9. Ensuring all reporting deadlines are met;
10. Preparation of routine and ad-hoc management reports

Requirements:

• Strong academic background (GCSEs - minimum B (grade 5) in Maths and English or equivalent and A-Levels - minimum ABB or equivalent
• Must be able to prepare management and statutory accounts
• Must be studying towards either ACA or ACCA
• Good inter/ intrapersonal skills, Confident in dealing with the clients and auditors independently
• Experience using Sage, Investran or Yardi is desirable
