Job Title: Fund Accounting Team Lead | Dublin | Permanent | 55-60k per year

My client based in Dublin are currently recruiting for a Fund Accounting Team to join their growing fund accounting team on a permanent basis. There is massive potential for career progression within the firm. Reporting to the Assistant Manager, the Team Lead will be responsible for the oversight of a team's production of hedge fund Net Asset Valuations and ensuring full compliance with all accounting regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Re-evaluate daily, weekly, and monthly Hedge Fund NAVs
  • To manage the daily workflow of a number of clients within the team
  • Oversee staff (6-8) and to provide a detailed review of their work with the Assistant Manager
  • Assist with periodical performance reviews
  • Investigating client issues
  • Ensure all work and tasks done within the team comply with approved policies, procedures and control routines
  • Conduct quarterly process analysis on all funds within the team
  • Ensure good communication with the Assistant Manger to ensure awareness of all issues within the team
  • Provide monthly and quarterly statistics in relation to the funds within the team
  • Evaluate all agreed reporting is delivered to the client and the Auditors within the agreed timeframe
  • Examine fund operating documents, prospectus, pricing policy and agreements
  • Manage the new business into team and the implementation of procedures as required
  • Support the further development of the fund accounting process and systems

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years Fund Accounting experience incorporating the above key responsibilities, with 1 year at Manager/AVP level is essential
  • A third level qualification preferably in a business or accounting related discipline is essential
  • Team leadership skills, including mentoring, assessment, training and development planning.
  • Knowledge of various domiciliation legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Thorough knowledge of Hedge Fund accounting
  • Self motivated
  • Strong numerical skills
