Fund Controller - Credit/Debt Fund

This debt fund is one of the world's biggest names and boasts fantastic offices in Mayfair. They are looking for a Fund Controller to join their Funds Finance team and report directly to the CFO.

If you are at least 4 years post qualified and believe you are ready to step up from a Fund Accountant position to a Controller position, for a leading debt fund, this is one of the biggest opportunities on the market.

In the role, you will have autonomy over your own portfolio of funds and work closely with the Portfolio Management and Investment teams, post acquisition. The works is mainly oversight as you review the work of administrators, put packs together for investors and present to the board on the performance of the funds under your remit. With this in mind, they are looking for a qualified accountant with more than just technical skill - you need to be commercially minded and a 'people person'.

In terms of experience, it is essential that you have worked on closed-ended fund structures; whether that be private equity, credit, debt or real estate - they do not mind! You must be a qualified accountant and you must have at least 3 years post qualified fund accounting experience.

This business invests in a range of direct lending and credit opportunities and boasts an AUM of over £100bn. This role is due to expansion as they have a relative low turn-over of staff and they owe this to their culture; unlike most investment management firms, these appreciate work life balance and flexible working. It's a truly great environment to be in.

If you are a Fund Accountant seeking a step up or a Fund Controller looking for a new challenge, then please do not hesitate to get in touch with Thomas Wesseldine by a applying below or contacting directly.
