A reputable media publishing business based in London is currently recruiting a Group Finance Assistant position to join their fast pace team.

The role will sit within the Group Finance team who are responsible for financial reporting, consolidation, treasury, tax, and expenses and invoicing. You will be responsible for assisting the team and responsibilities will include month end journal postings including accruals and prepayments, month end reconciliations, balance sheet management, assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts, financial reporting, assisting with group budgets and forecasting and more.

The successful candidate will have strong academic background and will have demonstrated a desire to learn and develop. They will have experience in taking ownership of their work, be self-motivated and organised. The candidate will have a solid base understanding of finance and double entry and strong Excel skills. This role would suit someone who has graduated over the last couple of years and is looking to study towards an accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA).
