Start your job searchMarks Sattin are working alongside a leading FTSE 250 merchant banking group who provide lending, deposit taking, wealth management services and securities trading.
The well established business are seeking a Group Financial Accountant with a strong accounting background.
The purpose of the role is to support the Group Finance Manager with their financial responsibilities which plays a key part in providing wide ranging support to the Board and senior management.
The responsibilities include:
- Month-end and financial control procedures
- Produce monthly group consolidation
- Coordinate and prepare annual budgets for plc companies
- Day-to-day cash flow and funding administration and cash flow/liquidity reporting
- Ownership of head office internal controls and procedures
- Preparation of corporation tax and VAT returns and related calculations for plc companies
- Ad-hoc share based awards accounting and administration
- Group Management Accounts
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant, ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
- A good track record of delivering effective reporting under pressure and to tight business-critical deadlines
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; for example, looking at large amounts of data to identify trends.
- Experience of clients reporting under IFRS as well as UKGAAP
