A leading Irish PLC is seeking to hire a Group Financial Accountant-GL to join their Group Accounting team based in the Dublin head office.

This role will give the successful candidate excellent exposure to Senior Stakeholders in the business on a daily basis. The company has recently undergone restructuring in their Finance department creating a more tiered structure to allow for a clear progression path. The role will also provide you with extremely valuable exposure to acquisitions as the company has a highly aggressive acquisition plan in place.

The Group Financial Accountant will be responsible for maintaining general ledgers within the finance function, whilst providing accurate and timely management reporting requirements to key stakeholders within the Group. In doing so, they will also provide support and assistance to the Group Accounting Manager and the Group Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Involvement in the completion and tagging of statutory accounts.
• Responsible for maintaining the general ledger for head office subsidiaries, including intercompany recharges and intercompany accounts.
• Responsible for providing monthly cost analysis for central costs.
• Responsible for the reporting of the monthly management accounts for head office subsidiaries.
• Reporting of budgets and reforecasts for head office subsidiaries.
• Assist in internal & external audit queries.
• Help maintain and improve internal controls to ensure compliance with corporate standards.
• Involvement in ad hoc projects as required.

The successful candidate will be Big 4 or Top 6 qualified with a proven track record of achievement, strong attention to detail and will have experience working within tight deadlines.
