Group Financial Business Analyst: A leading global player within the oil and gas space is currently looking for a qualified accountant to join their Group Finance department team in London. The Group Finance department is responsible for the consolidation and reporting of actuals, forecasts and budgets as well as the setting, supporting and assuring of financial standards, policies and procedures. The Group Finance department is also responsible for the enhancement of the Finance Function, running a number of projects focused on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing analysis and insight into budget and forecast data in support of the Senior Group Planning Accountant, Business Delivery Teams (BDT) Finance Teams and Group Functions.
  • Providing support and training to BDT Finance Teams in respect of the Group's budgeting and forecasting processes and systems.
  • Gathering and documenting user requirements for enhancements or fixes to the Group's budgeting and forecasting systems.
  • Guiding and supporting the IS Business Intelligence Team in the resolution of issues and enhancement of the Groups budgeting and forecasting systems.
  • Actively participating in the Group Finance Enhancement Project.

You will be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas:

  • Previous experience of working with Cognos TM1 and Cognos BI is essential.
  • Relevant Finance qualification (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) or equivalent
  • Takes initiative, solution driven, deadline oriented and results focussed
  • Financial Planning & Analysis planning process and systems experience;
  • Advanced Excel (e.g. advanced formula, pivot tables);
  • Strong communication and presentation skills;
  • Stakeholder management skills;
