The Group Financial Planning and Analysis Accountant is responsible for the planning, preparation and analysis of the group's annual budget, quarterly forecasts and monthly financial reports. The role will also include involvement in adhoc projects and providing support and assistance to the Group FP&A Manager and Group Head of Accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the planning and preparation of the annual budget and the quarterly forecast reporting including the delivery of accurate and timely data to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Accountable for the preparation and delivery of monthly financial reports to support senior management, including analysis and reconciliation against latest budget and forecasts.
  • Involvement in the yearly strategy process, including process planning, consolidation of results, scenario analysis, and delivery of analysis to senior management.
  • Strive for continuous improvement of the function with the support of the FP&A manager and senior management. This should include the identification of applications, tools or data to improve decision making within the organisation on an ongoing basis.
  • Assist in liaising with the Investor Relations and Corporate Development departments, including providing financial analysis for stock market reporting and data for potential investment transactions.
  • Assist in liaising with external and internal auditors.
  • Involvement in ad hoc projects as required.

Competencies & Experience required:

  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage and co-ordinate complex financial models & systems and provide user friendly financial and commercial analysis.
  • First-rate IT/financial systems experience.
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with the energy and drive to improve processes and solve problems under own direction.
  • A precise approach to work with meticulous attention to detail and has experience working to tight deadlines.
  • Communicates openly with clarity.
  • Teamwork and collaboration and the ability to build effective partnerships with all stakeholders.
  • Proven record of achievement, with specific examples of process improvement achievements.
  • Experience working at diverse levels of the organisation with a multinational organisation.


  • Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA), from a top 4 accounting practice background with a minimum of 2 years post qualification industry experience in FP&A or a Group Function/plc role.
