Marks Sattin are working alongside a Global organisation who are searching for Reporting Manager to join their high calibre finance team, based in Chesterfield.

This role will report into the Head of Management Reporting and deals with all internal management reporting to stakeholders and to the group parent. You will need to be autonomous with strong people management skills. Diligence and an eye for detail is extremely important, you should be able to actively seek out opportunities for process and systems improvements to drive efficiencies within the department.

The ideal candidate will have an extensive knowledge of management accounting principles and practices, in-depth knowledge and experience of Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cashflow and KPI's.

The Role

  • Supervise, co-ordinate and be accountable for the activities of Management Reporting Team
  • Manage reporting workload to meet department, group and operational requirements
  • Ensure accounts are accurate, compliant and produced in a timely manner
  • Personally responsible for the preparation of Central Overheads
  • Direct the preparation of weekly margin reports
  • Review and oversee the production of Accounts
  • Oversee compliance, review key monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports
  • Be key contact alongside Reporting, Planning & Systems Controller for Global group reporting to include Gross Margin Report, monthly Controlling Report, Days Sales Outstanding calculation, Balance Sheet, Working Capital & Cashflow
  • Document, review and improve reporting policies and procedures
  • Ensure all accounting records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements
  • Support all internal and external audits
  • Work closely with Financial Accountant interpreting and communicating new legislation impacting
  • management accounts
  • Manage, take accountability and resolve issues relating to accounts production
  • Dealing with unresolved escalation of queries from team
  • Responsible for training and development of the team
