A Leading listed natural resources client who operate across a range of emerging markets have a new opportunity for a qualified Group Reporting Analyst role to join their finance function in Central London.
The role will be reporting to the Group Reporting Manager within the Group Finance team in London. You will be willing to travel to site for visits with local management and assist with accounting issues, typically 1 or 2 visits per year.
The ideal candidate will have sound technical accounting knowledge and experience in research/paper writing as well as Group consolidations and quarterly/interim and year-end group external reporting.
The role will require someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills (enjoys working as a team), including ability to work with and build relationships with colleagues in operations and central offices as well as liaison with external auditors
Minimum qualifications and experience
- Strong academics, graduate (2:1) and ACA or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and experience of writing technical papers of consolidation accounting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Team player capable of working effectively and productively with managers across a number of different international locations.
- Strong analytical and logical problem solving skills. Driven and demonstrates initiative.
- Good knowledge of accounting software and Group consolidation systems ideally HFM
- Previous experience in mining or oil and gas industry (desirable)
