An exciting new role has arisen with my client, a unique group set up with considerable presence within the UK and Internationally. We are currently looking to recruit an incredibly high-calibre Senior Finance Professional to join as Head of Financial Accounting & Reporting. The role reports directly into the Finance Director. The role requires a qualified accountant with a proven track record to date, strong financial reporting (IFRS) and stakeholder management skills and able to motivate and lead a team

Reporting to the Finance Director, the role is responsible for financial, management reporting and consolidation of accounts for the Group. This role covers consolidation and group reporting for multiple UK business units in the UK. You will be proactive in implementing systems process improvements and financial controls, manage efficient accounting controls and adding value through quality business partnering key stakeholders both on site and across multi-locations. Managing a team of you will be responsible for covering Financial Accounting, Management Accounting & Contracts.

Responsibilities will include:-

• Ensure that accounting transactions are recorded accurately in line with the relevant accounting standards and that reconciliations are available and reviewed for accuracy
• Monthly consolidation of the business unit accounts
• Ensuring that financial timetables are strictly adhered to by all finance staff
• Responsible for effective cash controls including treasury and working capital management to ensure the Company operates within its bank facility
• Produce a weekly and month end reporting pack for departmental managers and the board
• Development of a pro-active finance team that become business partners to budget holders, identifying waste and opportunities
• Production of the year end accounts, liaising with the Company's auditor and tax advisers and banks
• Management of financial risk
• Production of financial reports for external stakeholders

You must be a qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA preferred) with a proven track record within a Senior Finance role. Strong technically around financial reporting standards and IFRS is needed. The successful candidate will have a 'can-do' attitude and the ability to identify issues & create solutions.
