The Role:

A new requirement has arisen to join us as Head of Business Risk.

The Head of Business Risk will sit as part of the 1st line Controls & Assurance team which has been designed to strengthen the controls environment in the 1st line of defence (1LoD). You will be responsible for facilitating Operational Risk management across the Equities, Multi-Asset, Fixed Income and Investment Operations businesses.

As Head of Business Risk you will be responsible for providing operational risk support, in keeping with the business Risk Framework and Standards, across the investment business and be expected to manage a team with commensurate resourcing/skill levels to support each of the 1st line business units.

You will be expected to host relevant meetings with senior management in each business area (CIO/COO level) and will be responsible for developing the RCSA process and for producing relevant operational risk reporting (e.g. key risks, emerging risks, risk appetite reporting along with issues, actions, trends etc.) to internal interested teams (including, for example, CRO).

You will be responsible for helping with the introduction of a new risk system in the business units.

You will ideally have experience in:

• The asset management sector, ideally with experience of investment administration, fund management and dealing-related history
• Operational Risk/Audit
• Operational Risk system usage
• Report writing (e.g. in accounting for incidents)
• Managing a team
