Start your job searchAsda has a number of central 'Home Offices' across the country. This role acts as financial support to these offices. It has particular focus on non colleague related spend, but covers all aspects of Home Office costs.
This role is a good opportunity for someone to learn more about the Asda business and how it operates. It is a great introduction to Commercial Finance. It includes plan setting, reporting and elements of business partnering to ensure we keep the business on track to deliver Home Office costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build challenging, yet achievable business plans and forecasts for Non Colleague element of Home Offices, alongside Finance BDM's and business customers.
- Provide analysis and business support to Travel costs, Insurance, Income, Consulting, Telephone and other overhead expenditure to ensure people follow WO4L principles.
- Maintain and improve clear, simple and effective MI on Home Offices to keep all accountable for Home Office spend.
- Work with GSS and ISD teams to provide a long term solution to Home Office reporting.
- Coach and train colleagues across Home Offices in chosen reporting tools
Key skills:
- Ability to provide accurate, timely information to a high quality with excellent attention to detail
- Proven analytical skills. Ability to break down complex problems and financially evaluate projects.
- Ability to make recommendations based on assumptions with financial and non-financial colleagues
- Proven ability to organise, prioritise and co-ordinate workloads within an environment of competing demands and deadlines
What you'll need:
- Applicants should be a graduate (or equivalent) with strong academics and an accounting qualification
- Experience of using excel, power point and databases
