Interim Financial Controller

£300 - £350 per day

This fantastic business who are leading in their field are looking to bring on board an Interim Financial Controller to help transition the finance team through a period of change.

Duties

• Ensure that all accounting/management reporting and compliance requirements are completed to a high standard and to deadline
• Take full ownership of the monthly P&L, managing 2 FTEs as appropriate to deliver compilation of monthly GP to good quality and deadline
• Manage the audit process
• Maintain a strong governance/ control focus ensuring that adequate financial and asset protection controls are in place, compliance with all accounting policies, appropriate balance sheet reconciliations
• Involvement with system implementation
• Participate in and / or provide advice to any development activities whilst driving for compliance, simplicity and standardization in all processes
• Respond quickly and effectively to ad hoc requests for information from senior stakeholders.

Key skills and experience needed

• Qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA or CIMA
• Practice and/audit grounding with accounting experience within a large organisation would be advantageous;
• Devised and implemented process improvements
• Significant experience of managing month end and delivering to tight deadlines
• Experience of completing statutory reporting and managing auditor or similar relationships.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
