Start your job searchA global Recruitment Firm is currently recruiting for an experienced IT Applications Support Manager to manage the technical and operational activities in the busy IT Department, based in Chesterfield.
The Applications Support Manager will work very closely with the IT Manager. Collaboration, open communication, share of knowledge and tasks, readiness to work towards a mutual goal, finding the best solution and a respectful attitude are essential for success in this role.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Direct management of the internal IT team member(s) with focus on applications support and development
- Management of all external IT suppliers that support the business applications
- Identifying opportunities for positive transformation of the technology solutions currently used within the business
- Determine business requirements for IT systems and their evolution and ensuring they meet the needs
- Review and continuously document all applications, upgrades, change requests, release notes and training material for all of the applications used within the UK
- Ensure that Data Protection Impact Pre-Assessment and where required full Assessment are done for all applications used within the Group, including those supplied by Clients and accessible to internal users
Key Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years working in an IT Applications Support Manager role or equivalent
- Knowledge and implementation of ITIL principles for all support structures
- Maintenance, support and management of the following applications is essential:
- Sales CRM such as Microsoft Dynamics, Buddy CRM or similar
- Integrated within CRM or a separate Applicant Tracking System such as Salesforce, Bullhorn or similar
- Scheduling / Timesheet management system such as Sirenum, JoinedUp or similar
- Payroll system such as Access Pay & Bill (Tempest), Pegasus Opera or similar
- Accounting software such as SAP, NAVision or similar
- Candidate / Client portal management
- Reporting software, e.g. Power BI, QlikView, Tableau or similar
- Experience with working on systems integrations, e.g. using API is essential
- Ability to recognise opportunities to consolidate multiple systems into one and pursuing this initiative, including project managing is essential
- Hands on experience with DPIA process is advantageous
- Experience with applications used within the Recruitment sector is advantageous
- Experience in completing IT risk assessment and designing disaster recovery and business continuity plans for internal applications is advantageous
- Experience with Data Warehouse and / or involvement in a Data Warehousing project is hugely advantageous
- Knowledge of SQL is advantageous
- Knowledge of application development lifecycle is advantageous
- Excel VBA knowledge is beneficial
