My client are a global US Listed technology company growing both organically and through aggressive acquisition. The business is growing exponentially, the team this role sits within has a fantastic atmosphere with events held regularly and extremely collaborative atmosphere, a state of the art office and canteen to die for. This role is pivotal in supporting the Senior Financial Analyst with all aspects of Financial Reporting and Management Accounting, the day to day responsibilities will be:

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for month end margin reconciliation
  • Identifying and processing cost and revenue adjustments at month end
  • Working with key stakeholders to ensure accuracy and validity of month end financials, investigating variances where required
  • Creation of month end board reporting pack and associated commentary
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting will daily reporting to the business
  • Generation of manual invoices where required
  • Investigation and resolution of variances found during the month end close
  • Working with key stakeholders around the business to provide finance support
  • Ad hoc support of accounting and controlling team
  • Continual development and improvement of systems and processes used

Keys skills:

  • Strong system skills, preferably including intermediate/advanced Excel and
  • High analytical with good attention to detail
  • Self-motivated
  • Experience in setting up and improving systems and processes
  • Studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA)
  • Previous Finance department experience in med/large business (>£50m T/O)
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Understanding of UK and US GAAP
  • Knowledge of SAP
