An excellent opportunity for an ambitious and talented recently qualified ACA / ACCA to join the growing Corporate Finance team of an industry leading regional Corporate Finance Team.
You will be responsible for working on a variety of M&A, fund raising and valuation assignments across a range of sectors.
You are a recently qualified (ACA / ACCA or equivalent with first time passes) with a minimum of one year Corporate Finance or Transaction Services experience.
In addition you should have proven project management skills, spreadsheet / modelling experience, and the ability to work effectively as a part of a small team. Commercial awareness and report writing skills are also key.
The role:
-Build up deal experience and better understand the transaction process.
-Analyse and validate the financial, commercial, operational and strategic assumptions/ hypotheses underpinning a deal.
-Improve analytical skills and modelling techniques.
-Gain insight into what makes a successful deal including identifying key value drivers and deal breakers, and understanding the legal, transactional and financial stages of a deal.
-Understand the processes in due diligence work including dealing with risk.
-Understand the process in connection with a public company transaction.
As an Executive, reporting directly to Partners/Directors/Senior Managers you will be expected to:
-Assist in the planning process of a due diligence assignment.
-Liaise directly with clients during the assignment
-Have responsibility for project risk issues and billing/cost recovery
-Produce written reports, including memorandums and business plans.
-Potentially lead assignment Teams on deals, developing junior staff.
-Participate in practice development activities.
-Interpret and analyse business plans and publicly available information on target businesses in order to understand the risks associated with the transaction.
-Review and analyse historical trading, cash flow, balance sheets projections and underlying assumptions.
-Participate in completion meetings/presentations with clients.
