Position Legal Cashier

Location Manchester

Salary Competitive + company benefit package

Hours Monday - Friday - 9am - 5pm (Full time)

The role represents an opportunity to work within a large legal cashiering function of a busy Legal Company. You be working within a well structured successful and positive Legal Cashier Team.

Duties

• Ensuring all client transactions are dealt with in accordance with the SRA Accounts Rules
• Processing and posting of Client CHAPS, SWIFT and BACS payments
• Drawing Client cheques and posting requisitions
• Posting and banking of Client receipts - received by cheque, BACS and CHAPS
• Processing Client to Office transfers and retainer transfers
• Opening and closing of designated client accounts
• Interest calculations
• Ensure filing is kept up to date
• Cover for Currency requests
• Assisting the Cashiers Supervisor or Manager with any ad hoc duties
• Client account banking and processing
• Reviewing Client account transactions on a transactional basis to ensure all Client to Bills
• transfers are completed within 14 days.
• Checking Client account regularly to ensure Client account balances do not become residual

Requirements:

• Previous experience working within the Legal sector, Accounts or Admin would be an advantage
• Proven IT skills and experience using Microsoft Office Packages
• An ability to work in a demanding environment, working to deadlines and KPI's.
• An accurate, organised and methodical approach to work, ensuring that processes, procedures.
• Highly numerate and confident in dealing with financial and statistical information.
