Core Duties:

  • Work alongside the existing Management Accountant to meet the company's finance requirements due to expansion.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Carry out variance analysis and ensure business spend is kept in line with budget
  • Support non-financial managers in interpreting financial data
  • Managing a team within the department, supporting with day to day people management as well as coaching and development
  • Prepare year end accounts alongside the existing Management Accountant
  • Take responsibility for ensuring all documentation is in place for auditing purposes
  • Working closely with the Financial Controller and wider team to identify improvements in systems and processes
  • Carrying out analysis to advise on improving value, preventing problems and adapting to changing circumstances
  • Develop and improve month end reporting and analysis
  • Support the Finance Director and Financial Controller on project work
  • Working closely with IT to ensure systems are being used as effectively as possible
  • To support the wider team with ad-hoc work as and when required, we have a culture of all levels supporting one another when needed across the department

Dream Candidate:

  • Experience of working at Management Accountant level previously / or similar
  • We are open to looking at both qualified and non-qualified Management Accountants with the relevant level of experience
  • Someone who thrives in a broad not niche Management Accountant role
  • A 'people person' able to engage a team, motivating and coaching future talent
  • Experience of working within a fast paced and changeable retail / e-tail business would be advantageous
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to understand the dynamics of a commercial on-line retailer
  • A team player with excellent communication skills able to build effective relationships both internally and externally is critical
  • You must be self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work under pressure
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
