Based in North Yorkshire, this private equity backed client is looking to hire a qualified accountant to join their Finance department as a Finance Manager / Senior Management Accountant.

Reporting into the FC, the role will Produce monthly management accounts to agreed timescales. IT will also Create and provide financial information to commercial and operational teams in the business as well as Developing and maintaining budget, forecasting and KPI production/reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of accurate and timely monthly group consolidated management accounts to review stage then through completion
  • Responsible for the preparation of month end reporting packs
  • Financial system development
  • Responsible for development, maintenance and preparation of the models for budget/forecasting processes
  • Accounting for long-term contracts
  • Responsible for both preparation and management of the preparation of the year-end audit files ready for external auditors
  • Prepare statutory accounts for group and individual statutory entities
  • Assist Group FC in annual corporation tax preparation and other areas of tax including but not limited to VAT
  • Member of ERP system core development team
  • Development and implementation of reporting and analysis financial MI from new ERP system
  • Work with commercial teams and depot managers to:
    • Establish good relationship between finance and operations
    • Understand financial needs of depot managers
    • Provide appropriate financial insight on month end results in a timely and objective manner

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA or ACCA or equivalent)
  • Experience working as a Management Accountant, looking for a step up
  • Graduate level education
  • Microsoft Office applications experience, with excellent knowledge of Excel including pivot tables and Vlookups
  • Experience of ERP systems
  • Experience operating within an Industrial Services or multi-site environment advantageous but not essential
  • Knowledge of Dimensions and Focalpoint would be an advantage
