A reputable membership body within the sporting sector is currently seeking a Management Accountant to join their fast pace team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, responsibilities will include:

• Review key financial management information, investigating variances and highlighting any issues
• Involvement in implementing financial controls and procedures, including development of management information systems
• Prepare monthly accounting journals and flag any issues or concerns to appropriate senior stakeholders
• Reconciliation of both balance sheet accounts and bank balances
• Prepare and calculate VAT returns and oversee BACS payment runs to both suppliers and member clubs
• Additional ad-hoc duties and reporting when required

Candidate Profile:

• Studying towards an accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent
• Ability to build relationships with non-finance stakeholders
• Excellent time management and ability to work closely with a team
• Experience using Microsoft GP Dynamics is advantageous but not essential
• Advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
