A reputable shipping business based in central London is currently seeking a Management Accountant to join their fast pace finance division.

The successful applicant will be responsible for producing the vessel management accounts including month end journals, balance sheet reconciliations and accruals and prepayments. In addition you will responsible for cost and variance analysis, head office reporting and assisting with budgeting, statutory accounts preparation and audit.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is at the early stages of their accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA) and someone who has gained experience assisting with management accounts and is now looking for a step up where they can take more ownership. Ideally this candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience working within finance and at least a years' experience in financial/management accounts. They should have excellent communication skills for interaction with personnel at all levels and the ability to work towards deadlines and self-prioritize. Strong Excel skills are essential and previous use of SUN systems would be advantageous.
