A manufacturer based in North Yorkshire are looking for a newly qualified Management Accountant to work closely with the Finance Director and Managing Director. The company have developed a market leading reputation due to their strong brand presence over the past 10 years, creating bespoke high quality products.

The position has been created out of growth in the business and will act as a number 2 in Finance with a small transactional team underneath the role.

The role

Responsibilities of the role will include;

• Managing and identifying both company operational and controllership procedures
• Managing and producing weekly financial and statistical information
• Preparation of budgets and forecasts as well as participating in budgetary and forecast planning meetings with the Board
• Analysis of operational as well as financial data in order to explain trends and spot risk/opportunity
• Managing payroll
• Responsibility for Balance Sheet Controls and Reconciliation
• Producing ad-hoc reports around costings

To be successful in your application you must be close to or newly qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) and have experience in preparing managment accounts in a previous role.

You must also be a confident communicator who can act as a true business partner to both internal and external stakeholders, challenging and influencing as appropriate.
