A global consulting firm based in central London is currently looking for a M&A Director. You will be playing a key role in the evaluation and execution of the acquisition strategy. The acquisitions will be in key markets mentioned above and so the role will involve overseas travel. This role operates within a team environment, with other team members in the US and the UK. The role will be based in London, and will report to the Director of Acquisitions who is based in London, but with a key stakeholder relationship with the Director of New Digital Business.

Key responsibilities:

Assistance in transaction origination including the building and maintaining of a robust pipeline that aligns to the strategy and the firm's ambition.

Creating and nurturing relationships with the key targets so that the business is positioned to negotiate a bi-lateral agreement with those targets that are of greatest interest, where possible.

Playing a key role in the development of the investment case for the Board (and/or a sub-set of the Board) to consider each potential transaction including the preparation of the documents required to approve and fund the acquisitions

Advice on the robustness of the IP, its generation, protection and potential development.

Participating heavily in the execution of transactions, including in some cases, leading particular work streams within the due diligence process through to the successful negotiation of the Sale & Purchase Agreement

Required skills and experience:

• Qualified Accountant with strong analytical abilities
• Proven track record in Mergers & Acquisitions over 8+ years with at least 3-5 years' experience of buying or selling recurring revenue businesses
• Excellent engagement and communication abilities
