We are working with an asset manager who are looking to build out their finance team in a newly created financial controller position.

This business focuses on investing for positive impact and social good; specifically offering finance to small and medium sized enterprises (SME's) in poorer countries.

Your role, as Financial Controller, will be to take responsibility for the accounting of the funds and the investment manager. Specifically;

• Responsible for the daily accounting of the Funds. This will include working with and overseeing fund accountants and fund depositary to produce the monthly NAV statements for the fund.
• Responsible for the accounting of the Investment Manager. This will initially include working with the outsourced accounting firm to produce the monthly management accounts, but with a view to bring the function in-house.
• Working with the Finance and Operations manager and COO to provide accurate and timely operational and financial information to management.
• Facing off to external auditors of both the Investment Manager and Funds for successful completion of financial audits.

The ideal candidate will be a recently qualified ACA with an interest in impact investing. Strong personal skills are a key, alongside a desire to tackle a steep learning curve. Financial services audit experience is preferred but not essential.

Remuneration will be in the region of £55,000 with discretionary bonus and other competitive benefits.
