- OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF ROLE:
The holder of this role will deliver comprehensive support to the Site Finance Director and Senior Management Team in assisting them to further grow and develop the Malton site, making us the supplier of choice.
Key to the success of this role will be the provision of accurate and timely management information upon which both the role holder and management team can act in order to maximise the growth opportunities that exist within the business. Involvement in the development and implementation of a strong and robust reporting system will be a key priority in order to deliver the objectives.

- MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Job purpose:
- Role Tasks/Responsibilities
- Provision, analysis and interpretation of daily and weekly reports to enable business performance to be monitored and enhanced.
- Support the delivery and ongoing management of factory reporting systems.
- Daily and weekly reporting of prime and labour variance performance.
- Close liaison with the management team to identify trends, opportunities and areas of under-performance in order to enhance the overall performance and profitability of the business.
- Encourage site profit enhancing initiatives and ensure that deliverables are achieved.
- Close liaison with site finance team (incl. cost accountant and work study manager) to ensure accurate product costing.
- Review of stock analysis and the investigation of variances.
- The development and implementation of robust processes to ensure transactional accuracy and controls in the areas of variance and stock reporting.
- To support in promoting process improvement and cultural change.
- Involvement in the monthly accounting cycle.
- Input into the site weekly forecasting and annual budget cycle.
- Essential Criteria & Qualifications
- Experience & Qualifications
- Qualified accountant/finalist with a minimum of 3 years strong industry experience
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment with evidence of variance reporting, ideally in the food industry.
- Strong Excel analysis skills and the ability to demonstrate the application of logical analysis to manufacturing transactions.
- The desire to be hands on, and to be seen on the production floor.
- Understanding of the FMCG industry.
- Experience of successfully managing tasks/projects to completion, ideally including systems implementation.
- Computer Literate.
- Numerate and analytical.
- The ability to challenge the status quo.
- Ideally experience of working with SAP.
