Are you an experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant seeking a new challenge and potentially wanting to explore other areas of the accounts?

I'm currently working with a leading retailer who is on the lookout for a part time Purchase ledger assistant to join a busy team 20 hours a week.

Where you fit in…

You'll be joining a developing fast pace business within a role that offers flexibility in your approach and method of working.


The role will be responsible for leading the end to end purchase ledger process and managing the Apprentice's purchase ledger work.

  • Setting up new suppliers
  • Raising purchase orders
  • Invoice processing
  • Expenses processing
  • Creating payment runs
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Implementing strong financial control disciplines
  • Training and Monitoring the workload of the Apprentice

What you need?

You'll need to have a proven track record of working in a high volume purchase ledger environment and proven excel skills up to immediate level. You will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to engage with key stakeholders. The ability to use your own initiative and attention to detail is a must, while having a hardworking, proactive and positive approach. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Sage and will be able demonstrate experience of working with foreign currencies and overseas supplier experience.
