An opportunity for an experienced AP officer to join a UK investment bank on a part time basis.

This role will be 3 days per week, with the opportunity to work from home 1 day per week.

Accounts Payable Manager Responsibilities:

• Receiving and processing all supplier invoices and staff expense claims using the cloud-based invoice approval workflow system (i.e. SAP Concur)
• Ensure that invoices are accurately captured on SAP Concur with the correct invoice number, expense code, cost centre, VAT amount, legal entity code and appropriate check boxes ticked (e.g. if invoice is a prepayment or rechargeable to a client)
• On a weekly basis, ensure that payments are made within terms agreed with suppliers:
• Export from SAP Concur to Excel invoices approved and awaiting payment
• Update Excel file with a brief description for each invoice
• Email to CAO, Head of Finance and Risk and Head of Operations for review and confirmation of which supplier invoices to pay
• Enter payments onto Barclays.Net and Natwest and submit for approval by Head of Finance and Risk
• Posting cashbook journals once payments have been made
• Allocate paid invoices in SUN and maintain the Aged Suppliers report
• Reconciling, on a monthly basis, supplier accounts in the general ledger system (SunSystems) and posting journals to correct for any posting errors Reconciling, on a monthly basis, staff expense accounts in the general ledger system (SunSystems) and posting journals to correct for any posting errors
• Update supplier payment templates on Barclays.Net and Natwest for new suppliers and periodically removing suppliers that are no longer in use

Other Responsibilities:

• Producing prepayment journals and maintaining spreadsheet analysing the balance on a monthly basis Providing ad hoc accounting support to Finance Team (e.g. posting journals) Posting the Barclaycard corporate credit card monthly statements
• Maintaining static data within the accounting system (SunSytems) and invoice approval workflow system (SAP Concur) to keep up to date all supplier and employee details
• Daily check of invoices approved and posted overnight from SAP Concur to SunSystems using automated file (circa 5 minutes per day)
• Daily download of closing cash balances for all Bank accounts (c. 10 minutes per day)

Requirements:

• Must have at least 3 years AP experience
• Must have Concur experience (SUN experience is advantageous)
