A top 10 practice with a network of over 1000 member firm offices located worldwide have recently appointed Marks Sattin to search for a Payroll Manager to join their team located in Dublin City centre.

In the role your duties will include the following:

  • Managing service plans for clients with large payroll teams as well as providing exceptional client service. This will involve organising and coordinating a number of assignments where the client team are based on their premises. Additionally on a regular basis the service delivered will be reviewed and monitored against key performance indicators.
  • Managing the process of taking on new clients which will involve liaising with the clients and markets to ensure that expectations are managed and assignments are correctly resourced.
  • Developing the team through performance appraisals, training, staff scheduling and utilisation, recruitment and induction. You will also report to management to ensure that staff resources are in a position to allow the team to grow its client base and ensure that adequate staff levels exist to cover absences and higher peaks of workload.
  • Liaising with the personal tax team to ensure team knowledge is consistently enhanced which will result in clients having direct access to specialist tax knowledge.
  • Work with IT support to enable the continuous improvement of procedures and processes
  • Engage in setting fees & targets for the payroll practice stream and support the outsourcing and payroll partner in regular updates on the team budget performance

To be successful you will have a minimum of 4 years payroll experience as well as experience as a team leader/manager and dealing with large volume and or multiple payrolls. You will have some experience with systems such as Core Pay, Sage Micropay or Europayx.
