Position: Payroll Supervisor

Salary: £20,000 - £24,000

Location: Bolton

A leading accountancy firm based in Bolton is recruiting for a Payroll Supervisor to join their growing team. This is an incredible opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual looking to progress and build on their already successful career in payroll.

You will be supporting the Payroll Manager with all day to day client management and office preparations. You will have a proven track record in a supervisory payroll position with exposure to bureau. Experience of working in an Accounting firm would be beneficial, but not essential.

Main Responsibilities

• Processing Client Payrolls.
• Assisting in the completion of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll for up to 300 clients.
• Pension Assessment and upload for auto enrolment - Processing of automatic enrolment duties for payroll clients
• Payment of direct debits for clients on HMRC websites
• Chasing client payrolls
• Assisting with year end completion
• Maintaining an up to date knowledge of all software including Sage payroll and HMRC legislation in order to train team members and inform clients
• Advising clients when necessary on Auto enrolment, RTI and statutory payments
• SMP and SSP calculations- must understand manual calculations.

The Successful Candidate Will Need:

• 1 year Sage Payroll experience
• Proven track record of 2 years+ in a payroll position.
• Strong man-management skills
• Excellent organisational skills
• High level of numeracy
• Ability to work to deadlines
