Project Delivery Manager - Automotive Telematics/Connected Car - £60k to £80k

A Technology Company focusing on Automotive Telematics is currently seeking a Project Delivery Manager to help the company expand into the UK market and work with a new customer. This is a permanent position with the location split between West London and home working.

The ideal candidate will originate from a background with experience in Project Management, ideally within the B2B electronic automotive market. A specific experience in managing external networks ie. Workshops, teams etc. is desirable. The Project Delivery Manager will be expected to take ownership of the projects delivery coordinating both internal and external stakeholders.

This is a stand-alone role with little to no support and will directly report into C-Suite stakeholders on an International level. Significant 3rd party management experience is essential.

Key responsibilities with external stakeholders:

  • Find local partners supporting the core activity (i.e. installers, help desk, control rooms, logistics)
  • Negotiations (or just facilitating) with local partners
  • Ownership of the standard processes adoption by local supplier
  • Building and keeping good relationships with local partners

Key responsibilities with customers:

  • Product Owner (the reference person depends on the application) for learning value proposition and application features
  • Key Account Manager, for coordinating the activities on the customers
  • Taking the ownership of the delivery, coordinating the activities of internal and external stakeholders and facing the customer
  • Customer assistance on application
  • Being operation focal point for the customer (tech, support, logistics)

Key internal stakeholder relationships:

  • Chief of assistance based in Europe for setting up assistance processes which are compliant with the general organization
  • Chief of installations for facilitating the installation activities locally, including contracts negotiation
  • Chief of control rooms for setting up the correct processes which are already adopted in Europe
  • Chief of logistics to facilitate and monitor the local logistic activity

Essential skills and experience:

· Experience in a standalone Project Management role, ideally within the B2B electronic automotive market

· Good working knowledge of Automotive Telematics/Connected Car Project delivery

· Significant stakeholder, customer and vendor management experience

· Strong commitment to problem solving (ownership on delivery means to act proactively to solve any potential problem on the way to the successful delivery)

· Constructive attitude: learn from mistakes (personal and company problems)

· Team working with internal and external teams. empathy

· Capability to talk directly with the customer at different levels
