One of the world's leading research-based pharmaceutical companies, with global operations and 500+ employees in the UK is currently looking for an IT professional with proven business analyst and project management skills, and expertise across the digital technology ecosystem to deliver projects within the digital channels space to join their UK Business IT team based in Buckinghamshire.
Working closely with key stakeholders, Regional Product Line Owners and Shared Services, the team promote, shape, define and commission business technology solutions in the areas of multi-channel customer engagement through digital channels and analytics and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Be a technology partner, working with business stakeholders to identify unmet needs, propose IT solutions, and assist management in the development of business cases and project charters
- Be a continuous learner, able to demonstrate a familiarity with current trends and have a genuine passion for technology, understanding how things work, and for applying technology to bring value to businesses/customers
- Ensure technology projects are built and documented in accordance with the strict compliance regulations and healthcare, including information security, privacy and GxP as required
- Proactively match business needs with existing company technology capability, by showcasing local/regional best practice with key stakeholders, encouraging adoption of core systems and harmonised process, and highlighting value in a business context
- Cultivate relationships with marketing brands teams, medical, multi-channel and operations groups, external agencies and partners to develop deep insights into the needs of our business departments and customers
- Work with Regional Product Line Owner/s to shape long term solution roadmap according to business priorities, and understand the technology roadmap
- Be a business analyst, leading the technical discovery process for potential digital projects, scoping needs, gathering requirements and producing functional specifications for a solution build, based on regional and global standards
Skills & Experience
- Degree in Computer Science/Business Information Systems, Engineering or related discipline
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g. ISEB Business Analysis Diploma) and Project Management (e.g. PRINCE2, APMP) areas
- Current or very recent role is business facing
- Expert in the digital technology ecosystem (e.g. static/dynamic web, mobile apps, hosting approaches, frameworks, media)
- Good understanding of HTML/CSS/JS, web frameworks such as Drupal, responsive design, content management systems and web analytics, for example Google Analytics
- 8+ years relevant experience, or which 4-5 years are digital technology related, inc. hands-on experience with web and mobile solution delivery
- Coding knowledge would be a benefit
- Able to recommend and challenge choices around the best technology approaches (solution design) to meet business needs
- Experience working in process-driven regulated environments (SDLC, Agile) co-ordinating internal and external delivery partners toward a single goal, operating within rigorous compliance guidelines
- Some travel to European countries will be required
