Cashbook & Accounts Payable Clerk

£18,000 - 22,000 + parking + flexible company benefits. Castleford/Pontefract.

Are you technically experience AP clerk looking to take a step up in your career? Or maybe you're looking for development and exposure to other areas of the accounts?

I'm working with a rapidly expanding SME that are looking to take on a competent Purchase Ledger Clerk to oversee the full end-to-end AP process and manage the day-to-day cashbook duties.

About the company

The company are a 40mil construction SME that is experiencing records period's growth and looking to continue expansion with plans to acquire new businesses within their respective industry. It is located in an ideal location for drivers to get to via the motorways, and additionally, there is plenty of on-site parking facilities and shops locally.

The Job

You will be responsible for maintaining the purchase ledger, making sure that invoices are processed in a timely manner with a high degree of accuracy, and that suppliers are paid correctly and on time. Furthermore, you will be expected to reconcile the accounts against the supplier/bank statements and resolve any finance queries relating to accounts payable. You will also be relied upon to assist with other ad hoc finance duties.

You

Ideally you need 1-2 years end to end purchase ledger experience working in an accounts payables within a medium/large sized business. Whilst not essential, any experience with cashbook duties would be highly advantageous to your application.
