Start your job searchA Reporting Accountant is required to support the timely and accurate provision of management information for internal and external stakeholders and to provide a strong internal control environment.
Key duties as Reporting Accountant:
- Preparation of monthly Management Accounts for selected companies in accordance with the group reporting matrix in effect from time to time
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns for relevant entities within scope
- To monitor and report upon receivables monthly and take corrective action promptly to maintain the cashflow of the group
- Preparation of Statutory Accounts for all relevant entities for review
- To maintain compliance to ensure a timely and accurate year end close down
- Assistance with the preparation of periodic reporting packs
- Liaison with external auditors to ensure a timely and accurate year end close down
- Weekly treasury support in reviewing cash balances and making intercompany transfers
- Develop and monitor KPI reporting in line with the group's strategy and provide analysis / explanations of major variances
- Maintain Rolling Forecasts for all entities as required by group reporting policies
Key requirements to be considered for the position of Reporting Accountant:
- ACCA or ACA qualified
- Ideally someone who has come from a small to medium sized practice
- Strong technical skills as this role is more financial accounting heavy with some involvment with management accounts
Package on offer for the successful Reporting Accountant:
- Up to £42,000 basic
- Other benefits to be discussed at interview stage
